InnoSwitch Flyback Switcher ICs Now Available with 900 V PowiGaN Switch
On March 20, PI announced 900 V GaN-based new members of our InnoSwitch3-AQ and InnoSwitch3-EP flyback switcher IC families. The new parts utilize the outstanding reliability and ruggedness of our PowiGaN technology to deliver up to 100 W output power atwith better than 93 percent efficiency, eliminating the need for heat sinks and streamlining design of space-challenged applications.
900 V PowiGaN-based InnoSwitch3-AQ ICs
are AEC-Q100 qualified and ideal for electronic vehicles based on 400 V bus systems. The new devices easily accommodate the highly inductive noise spikes often present in automotive environments. Highly efficient power conversion is also important for range extension and thermal management.
900 V PowiGaN-based InnoSwitch3-EP ICs
are ideal for industrial applications and regions with unstable line voltages. The extra power and increased efficiency are extremely advantageous in appliances, three-phase motors and auxiliary power supply units (PSUs) in servers. They are pin-for-pin compatible with 725 V and 750 V InnoSwitch3-EP parts.
