HiperPFS-4 裝置將連續導通模式 (CCM) 升壓式功率因數修正 (PFC) 控制器、閘極驅動器和 600 V 功率 MOSFET 整合到單一、小型的 (連接接地接腳的) 功率封裝。HiperPFS-4 裝置省卻了對外部電流感測電阻器的需要,消除了由其所產生的功率損失,而是改用創新的控制技術來調整輸出負載、輸入線電壓和輸入線電壓週期的切換頻率。

這項控制技術可最大限度提升整個負載範圍 (特別是輕負載) 下的效率。此外,藉由這項控制技術的寬頻展頻效應,使得 EMI 濾波器要求降到最低。HiperPFS-4 使用進階數位技術來增強線電壓監測、前饋線電壓比例及功率因數 (PF),同時對核心控制器採用類比技術來維持極低的無負載功耗。
