The new TOPSwitchGaN flyback IC family unites the company’s groundbreaking PowiGaN technology with its iconic TOPSwitch IC architecture, extending the power range of flyback converters to 440 W—well beyond the limits that traditionally required more complex resonant and LLC topologies.
TOPSwitch-JX incorporates a 725 V power MOSFET and full-featured, multi-mode controller to achieve excellent no-load performance and high efficiency across the entire load range.
TOPSwitch products are suitable for applications such as LCD monitors, LCD TV main or standby, adapters, set-top boxes, audio amplifers, video games, printers and a wide variety of flyback power supplies from 0 to around 200 W.
Recent released TinySwitch-5 family can replace TOPSwitch-JX for improved performance in efficiency at light load and full load.
