BWSC 2025 - Silvretta Hits the Finish Line!

For the second race in a row, aCentauri Solar Racing completed the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge! Its Silvretta solar race car improved one spot from the team's debut in 2023 and finished 11th place in the 26-car Challenger class with an average speed of 67.6 km/h.

Silvretta incorporates a DC-DC converter featuring PowiGaN-based InnoSwitch3-AQ switcher IC, provided by Power Integrations. It achieves 95% efficiency across both light and full loads with a broad output range of 5 to 60 W.

Solar car race teams around the world can get a reference design kit based on this converter by registering here.
