Driving a solar-power race car 3,000 km through the Australian Outback is hardly a one car job. Two aCentauri Solar Racing members explain the fully equipped car convoy deployed for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.

The team's Silvretta solar race car incorporates a DC-DC converter featuring PowiGaN-based InnoSwitch3-AQ switcher IC, provided by Power Integrations. It achieves 95% efficiency across both light and full loads with a broad output range of 5 to 60 W.
