Hi treez,

Both placing the InnoSwitch underneath transformer, and not totally underneath the transformer will work fine. The purpose of placing InnoSwitch farther away from hot components such as transformer is for thermals especially if the allowed dimension is relaxed vs the compared to usual compact specification such as chargers or adapters.

Thanks, and do you agree, we will need to use a copper plane in the pcb to shield the innoswitch from the transformer.?..ie, the switching node.
