LNK305GN-TL input voltage range

Dear PI Engineer:
I am using LNK305GN with a DC supply input (to drain) of up to 420Vdc, but LNK305GN stops working (seems damaged) at 380V. According to the Absolute Max Rating from spec sheet(LinkSwitch -TN Family, Link 302/304-306), its MAX input voltage range is -0.3V ~ 700V. CAN I use LNK305GN to buck down the voltage from 420Vdc to 12Vdc/150mA?

Operation at 420VDC should not be a problem.
Please send us a copy of your schematic and board layout which will help us understand your problem.
