I had designed 32V/8A power supply as per design recommended by PI exper design suit for input voltage range of 170Vac - 265Vac, 50Hz.

Now while testing i am facing a problem of auto restart after 2 to 3 seconds, while drawing the current above 5.7A @ nominal 230Vac. Plaese guide

Hi,

Please check you current limit setting resistor value. Does your power supply deliver 8A @ 115 VAC? If not trying reducing the current limit resistor to increase the current limit.

i already connected the current limiting resistance(x pin ) to ground. I had also checked it at higher voltages like 230Vac & above.

What is the temperature of the PI Device when this happens? Can you send me some waveforms of drain switching at 5.7A @ 230VAC? Layout capture also would definetely help.
