About DPA switch related problem

Posted by: RUTUJA SANJAY … on

Hii...
We have design 11.5W DC to DC Converter using DPA424PN Switch. The Specification of our design are given below,
Input voltage : 24-25Vdc.
Output 1:+15V @ 0.5Amp
Output 2: -8V @ 0.5Amp
output without load is OK but when we add 0.1 Amp load at +15V output then after 2 Sec output diode (MUR110E) get heated and output goes to 0V.
after that we replace MUR110E with 1N5822 diode then diode is not heat. why this happen?
please help us.
find attached copy of SMPS design.

Thank you for considering Power Integrations for your solution.
Could you please also provide the PI expert documentation for the design?
Please also provide layout details and transformer documentation.

Best Regards,
PI-Kryten

Hi,
The design as such looks good. No obvious reason for the diode to heat up.
Was this a one-off event with just that part or do you see it on multiple parts?
Also, please send a pdf file with the final layout.

Best Regards,
PI-Kryten
