This overview introduces the Winding Layer window in PI Expert's Magnetics Designer tab for planar transformers. The window displays detailed information for the specific winding layer selected in the Constructional Diagram, including the number of turns, current density, layer resistance, and layer interconnections.

Users can also view and modify design parameters such as track width, copper thickness, and turn-to-turn and turn-to-core spacing for the selected layer. Unlike the Winding Properties window, any changes made in the Winding Layer window apply only to the selected layer and do not affect other layers within the same winding group.
