Globally, increasingly strict requirements are being imposed on ultra-low standby power consumption and 10% light-load efficiency for power supply products. The European Commission’s Regulation (EU) 2025/2052 clearly stipulates that products with a rated power of 49W or below must have no-load power consumption of less than 0.075W. China’s national standard GB 20943-2025 sets similarly stringent limits.
PI’s flyback converters inherently deliver excellent no-load and standby performance, easily meeting and exceeding global energy efficiency standards. For demanding industrial environments, the devices can also be equipped with 1250V or 1700V-rated PowiGaN switching devices, making them particularly suitable for applications requiring high surge voltage tolerance and strong system stability.
