This overview introduces the Winding Properties window in PI Expert's Magnetics Designer tab for planar transformers. The window allows users to view and modify key winding characteristics for the winding selected in the Constructional Diagram, including winding name, number of turns, split type, spiral direction, pin terminations, color assignment, via settings, and estimated winding current.

The window also provides access to winding design parameters such as track width, copper thickness, and turn-to-turn and turn-to-core spacing. These values are typically calculated automatically by the design engine but can be manually specified when a fixed design requirement is needed for a particular winding.
