EOL Plan for LNK302DN

Where can we get the information about the EOL planning for the LNK302DN parts?

Thank you for your interest of using Power Integrations' part.

Is it for new design or existing product? LinkSwitchTN is not anymore recommended for new design since we already replaced it with LinkSwitch-TN2 which has better performance and reliability. Same design simplicity but LNK-TN is not directly replaceable with LNK-TN2.

If it is for existing LNK-TN design, I will get back to you regarding the EOL Plan. I will consult with marketing.

Yes. We already has been design-in your LNK302DN in previous year. Now, we will need to re-certification for some RF Part. If this part number will go to EOL plan in coming year, i will change to the TN2 and re-certification the whole product.

I communicated with marketing guys and told me that we usually don't do EOL for our products. We had just few parts that had EOL but those don't sell from the beginning. In case of LNK-TN, it is selling from the beginning and still has alot of demand so it will be available in the market as long as you want it. But if you wanted an improved performance, we recommend to use LNK-TN2 on your next design. Thank you.
