Looking for SPICE Model for InnoSwitch3-EP (INN3679C)
Hi,
I’m designing an isolated flyback converter and looking for a SPICE model for the InnoSwitch3-EP (INN3679C) to simulate and finalize the design. So far, I’ve only found SIMPLIS models on the Power Integrations website, but I’m running into issues with the demo version — the simulation doesn’t run at all.
If you have SPICE model or has simulated it successfully in SPICE, I’d really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Gavin,
thank you for your answer. However, I do not have the licensed version at the moment.
Could you let me know how accurate is PI expert? is it feasible to use for designing purpose or just for reference?
Thank you
Hi Manjesh,
Yes, you may use PI Expert on your designs. We here at PI and our customers around the world use it and have successfully made a working design by following it. If you will require any help, feel free to log a request with our PowerPros team in this link: https://www.power.com/design-support/online-support-request

Hi Gavin,
Thank you for your reply. However, I noticed that the values in PI Expert do not match the ones I calculated manually.
For example, I calculated the RCD clamp for the flyback converter using the formula from the datasheet and input the same values that were generated by PI Expert. However, the resulting component values are significantly different from those suggested by PI Expert.
Doesn't the PI tool use the formula from the datasheet? Please let me know how to go about it!
Regards
Manjesh
Hi Manjesh,
Thanks for the response and using our PI expert. We do understand that there are some deviations on the ones shared by PI expert, but all will be subject to actual testing. The primary RCD clamp in PI Expert design is only a reference and can be adjusted depending on actual transformer leakage inductance.
PI Expert is using a certain set of formula which includes corner values (min-max) and tolerances, which we cannot disclose due to proprietary reasons. We recommend to follow the design and tweak it further once you obtain the actual voltage stress of the device.
Regards, Gavin
Hello Expert,
We are planning to use INN3947CQ-TL in our design of flyback converter, and we want to know the below mention four IC have the same package and footprints or not.
- INN3977CQ-TL,
- INN3996CQ-TL,
- INN3999CQ-TL,
- INN3947CQ-TL.

Hi Manjesh,
Thanks for posting in our public forum.
We might not have a SPICE model as of the moment but we do have SIMPLIS. You may see them here:

Please make sure you have a licensed version of SIMETRIX/SIMPLIS Classic to use this. Thank you.
