Innoswitch INN2904K
Hello,
i'm really interesting by this component (INN2904K) but i have some questions :
- Would You develop another package for this component ? Because, looking the DER-531 report, I see that the component heat up a lot with this type of package.
- When this component will be available in the powerintegration software ?
- Have you a guideline to calculate a complete solution with the INN2904K ?
- Can you explain me what is the purpose of the primary and secondary bypass pin ? I'm not sure to understand.
I'm waiting your return
Thank you

Hello,
please can you explain me why DER531 uses the resisitor R8 across V-Pin and BPP-Pin? The schematics of the datasheet "Innoswitch-ep family" do not use this resisitor and the functionality of the V-Pin is explained with currents. Is this specially for the INN2904K or should I use this resistor also with the INN2903K?

Hi,
Thanks for your intesrest in power integrations's products.
R8 was used in DER-531 in order to increse teh OV thrwshold so that the power supply can operate all teh way upto 484VAC.
We do not have any device called INN2903K with 900V MOSFET. The only device that we have with 900V MOSFET is INN2904K.
Remaining devices (INN2603K to INN2605K) are integrated with 725V MOSFET.
Since this is someone elses post , in future if you have any questions please post it as a seperate question on the forum so that we can answer to your specific needs.

Hi,
Can you give us your power supply specifications. In DER-531 is the temperature rise of the part is about 58 degC. If you have any thermal specification, please provide us your requirement so taht we can suggest.
A soft is already available for INN2904K. Please create an account and log in to our piExpert online software.

I am providing a link fo rteh data sheet here. Please go through the data sheet for understing primary and secondary bypass pin functions.
