PI Expert v/s Application Notes

Posted by: kpratik on

Greetings Everyone.I just started making Low Power Supplies and to begin with I started with TOP Series..
I choose TOP 246YN with the following data :
Output Power : 60W
Output Voltage : 12V

Vmin = 165VAC

Vmax = 300VAC

Chosen Core = EI35

K=0.5

Z=0.5

Vb = 12V

Cin = 68uF

After feeding these parameters in PI Expert 9 the values obtained and the values I calculated are not matching.
What do I do ?

Can you send me the PIExpert file and a brief description of the parameters that do not match your calculations?

There seem to be a mismatch in certain input variables, so I would recommend that you go through each input cell and match the designs. I matched the input variables that were different in the two documents and found that the two calculations match.
