Hiper LCS Transformer

Posted by: aliaykan on

Hi,

According to attached PIXLS design sheet EFD25 Core is suitable for 150W power with %97 efficiency. Is it possible in practice?

Yes 150W is possible out of that small transformer with some airflow and at 250 kHz Fsw.
97% efficiency out of the system is a bit high. What is the output voltage?

I plan to 12,24 and 48V for CV; 50 to 215V for CC.

We are referring to your design titled-
' Reference Design Report for a 10 W CV/CC USB Charger using InnoSwitchTM-CH INN2023K'.
Can you please provide us any supplier details for the transformer used in that project ?

Could you share your mail address?

"I plan to 12,24 and 48V for CV; 50 to 215V for CC."

Pls. give me the load currents of each output.

Pls. repost this in the low-power section.

CV:12V/12.5A, 24V/6.25A, 48V/3.125A and CC:50V/3A, 215V/0.7A

in practic, you probably need to consider a larger core than EFD25 for 150W design since EFD25 maybe too tight to fit in all the wires and still meet the safty requirement.

Also, you need to find some cores with sectioned bobbin in order to design transformer with integrated leakage inductor. refer to below DER for 150W LCS design.
