Audomoto power supply
I need a little help designing a switching power supply for a 3 phase analyzer. I have included 2 possible block schematics for the power supply including voltages and currents. The transformers are my biggest concern since I do not know much about sizing and wrapping ratios. I don't want to under size the transformers for obvious reasons and I don't want to oversize too much as well in order to save some real-estate. once I have transformers, I can finish the PCB design in Eagle.
The analyzer will be running 24/7 so I will need the circuit to run as cool as possible. I do not like things that run hot so I like a driver that will have plenty of overhead to reduce thermal issues so that I can achieve at least 20 years of operational life. I also have plenty of 220 and 247 type heat sinks to choose from.
Please include any input noise filters if needed.

This is all new with no parts selected yet. I would be happy to use PI parts for this project.
The power supply would be universal so yes, all voltage configurations will be used by means of jumpers soldered in on the input side of the power supply.
Hi,
Thanks for your interest in Power Integrations products. Unfortunately we do not have any device that can operate at 24V-48V DC input range with the required power level.

Can this be done if the 24-48v part is dropped? I can use an off the shelf inverter module to get 120VAC for the input when running at 24 or 48 volts.
So the new design will be using ether 110VAC or 220VAC on the input side.
What would be a good choice for off the shelf coil bobbins and ferrite cores for the 2 transformer system? I would at least get started with some samples to hold in my hands and get a feel on how they will look on the PCB.
Once I have the number of turns required for both 110VAC and 220VAC inputs, I can start experimenting with them to tweak the outputs for best results.
Hi,
Please contact our field support team in your geographical region. They will be able to help you with design support and magnetic vendor. You can find our field offices at following location.

Hi,
Are you using any PI parts already or you are asking us to suggest which parts you could use for your design?
And the attachment shows three possible input voltage configurations, are all the configurations used on same power supply?
