LNK306 Stackfet Reference Design

Posted by: WEKA on

Hello,

is there any refernce design for applying the stackfet design on a LNK306 in buck converter operation?

Attached you will find a suggestion, based on other stackfet designs. What do you think?

Thanks!

Jonathan

Hi,

Looks like you adjust the other stackfet reference for flyback power supply to the buck application, it is the same principal, so you could try.

You need a stackfet solution, because the input voltage range is very wide in your application? What is the intension to put the R122?

Hello Terry,

attached you will find a new schematic, which is tested and works fine.

I removed the SUF4007 and 5k6 because it made the output voltage unstable. I thought it might work as kind of bootstrap circuit, but its not necessary.

Furthermore I tested different resistor ladders and TVS diodes to get best heat dissipation.

R122 is for EMC reasons and kind of total fail protection.

Input voltage goes up to 700VDC, therefore I need the stackfet design.

Thanks!
