DI-124 with PFC

Posted by: kemred on

Is it possible to modify  DI-124 design with PFC input ,(without big bulk capacitors.) ıs there any Power Integrations IC to achieve this? Output voltage ripple is not important for me..

I guess the input of your application is 380Vdc with high ac ripple. For this application, we may not have to use stack fet.

Parts like TNYswitch has 725V rating, and thus design with good RCD snubber and low Vor maybe good enough for your  voltage derating requirment. But both the cost and efficency can be a lotbetter than stackfet.

DER114  shows a 20W design handle 420Vdc input with TNYSWITCH alone.

No my input will be  690V AC phase-to-phase. so stack fet is mandotory... But I don't want to use any big case input capacitor, since I have area problem, so I try to find solution with Power Factor Controller in the input which doesn't need any input capacitor, smd components will enough.. DER114 or DI124 does not give any PFC solution, I need a IC with PFC controller...

We do not have any PFC circuit suitable for such low power application.
