PI Expert Run time Issue
Hi,
I am facing some Run time error (attached file) after I try to open one of suggested optimized solution. For your clarity I repeat the sequence as follows,
1. Open PI Expert software.
2. Open new file and select LNKSwtich_CV family.
3. In next operation, enter required parameters like AC range (85VAC to 300VAC ).
4. In next operation, enter power parameters like 5V, 0.5A, 2.5W, +/-1% tolerance.
5. Later software suggests some 6 optimized designs.
6. Whenever I try to open any design I get the attached message and later software exits.
Pl help me at the earliest.
Thanks,
jagdish

Hi Jagdish, and sorry that you are having trouble with the software.
I have some additional questions from the IT team:
1. What is your system configuration? (OS, Service Pack, Anti-Virus, Regional settings)
2. Is it installed on your local drive or on a network drive?
3. Can you create designs that use the default tolerance and default input voltage? (e.g. TOPSwitch-JX, Universal Input, 5V 3A standard tolerance)
4. Please try your design again, but before starting it go to Tools\Preferences and uncheck the option "Optimize New Design". Any difference?
5. There is a file in your default temp folder (usually C:\Windows\Temp) called "PISuite$.log". Could you please attach it to your reponse?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Wesley,
Thanks again for your updates. Pl find below response,
1. Windows XP, SP-2, Trend Micro (office Client), English (USA).
2. Local Drive.
3. I tried the way you suggested but there is same error as before.
4. Same error even after disabling "Optimize new design"
5. "PISuite$.log" log is not created in C:\windows\temp.
Awaiting your help.
Thanks,

Hi Jagdish.
Our minimum requirements are the official Windows XP SP3, so that's why it is not working properly on your pc.
Sorry about that...
Hi Wesley,
Thanks for your help, issue has resolved after updating to Windows XP, SP3.

jagdish

Hi.
I was not able to replicate your issue.
My suggestion is to redownload and reinstall the software (be sure to click the link for the 32bit installation). If that does not work let me know so that I can give you additional steps to try and fix this problem.
