Output Voltage drop

Posted by: janna on

Hi,

I did a smps project. But, there are some problem. outpur voltage is 34 volt at no load. Output voltage is 29 volt in loaded. . How can I solve this problem.

Thank you

A couple of questions for you:

What is the voltage like at light-load?

Does performance change at all with different input voltages?

What does the noise on the output look like?  Is it oscillating?

If you can, could you show me the layout for your PCB?

No load: audiable noise from transformator; outut voltage34.4 volt

0.15 amper load: no noise; ouput is 33.4 volt

0.25 amp load: no noise; output is 31.5 volt

1.50 amp load : no noise; output 29.4 V

3.5 amp load: no noise; outut 24.5 V

segonder wire 2x18 avg

transil diode is  1.5ke200

Did you follow the PI Expert schematic or do something different?

Can you send a PDF of your board layout?

It's really difficult to get a sense of what is going on in your layout.  Can you turn on the top and bottom layers along with the silk screens so I can see reference designators?  Also, it looks like your design is significantly different  than a standard PI Expert design.  Can you please attach your schematic as well as your transformer  build diagram/information?

Thank you,

I think, my problem due to PC817C; optocoupler is PS2501-1K in orginal schematic and Ihave not this optocoupler.
