Minimum supply voltage of switchers

Posted by: acscontsys on

For a converter 20...253V ac/dc with output 24V/2W we use the TOP234G, that works very well since more than 10 years.

This switch starts working from 16 V dc.

Now I have to design a similar design with output 24V/11,5W.

For this output power the TOP234G is not suitable.

What switcher is able to work especially at the input voltages <=20V ac resp. dc and >=253V ac at such a higher output power?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting PI. You can use our lastest TOP switch which is TOP Switch JX.

Is the power supply open frame or close frame?

Hi Terry,

the design is open frame.

Hi, I did a roughly calculation. I think TOP268VG/EG from Top JX may be a good starting point.

Thanks
