Changing the Transfo Core Material to user - custom selectable
We have a LINK=PL design that we want to work with a diferrent core material than the default NC2H (Nicera) or the PC40 TDK equivalent, as those are quite difficult to obtain from manufacturers. So we wolud like to be able to change the material to be used by the program for the transformer. Is that possible, as we have tried to find how to do it from HELP with no luck.
Is there a way to do it?
Thanks in advance

Hi Thank you for the reply.
However we have seen that tutorial vide and there is no information regarding our question. We don't want just to select (change) the transformer type from ie. EE19 to EE22 !!! What we want to ba able to do if possible is to edit/add/change the transformer core MATERIAL PROPERTIES! That is due to the need to work with not the default materials as they are sometimes to difficult to obtain them not only for production but even for prototyping use! An example is the EPC17 transformer used at an LNK457 LED driver design (see attached file). The core material is NC2H NICERA'sand has been selected by default! Since NC2H is quite difficult to find, at EPC17 form, we need to change itand use for our design a more commonly available material, ie. from EPCOS, or even better Ferryster! However their product line has quite similar materials, but not with exact same properties for every core form (ie worst case is the EE19 that are very few offering it with similar to NC2H properties)! So it is sometimes important to be able to change or better say edit ALL the properties of a core with the specific properties of a user selectable material, to get the best design optimization results.
The question is, is there a way to add, edit, change not only the core type - form, but also the MATERIAL PROPERTIES that will be finally used for the software calculations of a design? Can we do it as users, or the default materials are our only available "one way" choice?
Thank you in advance
One alternative to do this is to use PIXls and change the core parameters under the 'ENTER TRANSFORMER CORE/CONSTRUCTION VARIABLES' section.

The fourth video is what you would want to see. 'Fix Device and Core'
