Lower input operating voltage Problem by using TOP264EG Package

Posted by: Ramkumar on

Hello,

We are Facing the problem by using TOP264EG Package in DC-DC converter .This converters Designed for input range from 10-120VDC and Output voltage is 10V,200mA.

Now,the problem is we not get the output from 10VDC input voltage. Please refer the attached file for your review. In that file we have attached circuit diagram & transformer fabrication which we are using .

we change some more modifiaction in that circuit

A.The X terminal resistor reduced from 18.7K to 2K
B.The V point connected to GND
C.The transformer bias winding increse from 17T to 20T.

Presently, with this change the circuit giving Output from 24-120VDC only.We need it to bring into 10VDC lower operating voltage.

So,please advice us ,how do we solve it?
We want to operate this DC-DC converter from 10VDC to 120VDC.

Regards,

Hello Sir/Madam,

Yes. Its right, we know that the min operating voltage of these Parts is 18VDC.But, we have a DC-DC converter which is made by TOP104YN it is operating from 10VDC, and But TOP104 datasheet tells that min operating voltage is 16VDC please refer the TOP104YN sheet specification. Since, the part TOP104YN has been operated from 10VDC.
Why TOP264 family parts can't give the Output from 10VDC?
Otherwise advise us, can you have any TOP IC which is working from 10VDC min input?

The devices may or may not work with such low input voltage. There is not guaranty the devices will operate because they are operating below specifications.
