LNK632, triangled output

Posted by: dmb on

Dear PI-Experts,

This powersupply has been produced in many numbers, however last production shows different behaviour. Ripple is much higher then before and in the neigbourhood of (but not equal to) the linefrequency.

Output was recorded with a resistor,resulting in approx 150mA at 5,7 V.

Assemblyhouse says nothing has changed on production and ordered parts.

A quick check didn't show any obvious reasons.

Any guess what could cause this?

Best regards,

DMB

Hi

Did you measure the voltage across C5? Did the voltage ripple increase (when comparing with your reference board?

What is the frequency of the ripple voltage?

Hi Wesley,

yes indeed, it has been tested over C5.
Referenceboard was much much lower, and if any ripple at much higher frequencies (KHz), this is approc 4.8 ms resulting in 20 Hz which doesn't correlate to any of the sources or loads.

Best regards,
have a nice weekend,
