LED-Driver

Posted by: Disigna on

Hi,
I have got some troubles with the LED-Driver which I have found in the application notes. The LED-Driver is called DER-173.

Can some one help me to customize the output of the driver to 18V 200mA.

Because at the moment the driver consume more energie as the LED which it should supply.

Can you please help me.

Many thanks
Disigna

Hi,

Please refer to DER-173. In this document we provide a copy of the transformer design spreadsheet for reference.

Please use PIExpert which can help you with selection of most of the components for the design.

Please use the link below to download PIExpert which is a free tool provided by Power Integrations.

Thank you for the links.

However, I can't find the DER173 in the Pi Expert Software.
So can you please tell me which components(for example resistors)I have to change to get 18V 200mA output.

Can you please tell how can I rise the efficiency of the driver?

At the moment the driver consums half of the energie.

Hi,

For a switching power supply, when you change the output voltage, often not only do you need to change component values but also need to make changes to the transformer design.

Please use PIExpert , start a new design and enter required parameter values. PIExpert will guide you through the rest of the process.
