alternative equivalent part to the TNY268GN

I like to list a newer part as a replacement to the TNY268GN. What parts do you recommend and is there newer parts coming that are "drop-in" replacments?

Although you can not find a part for drop in replacement, TNY278G is a perfect suit to replace TNY268G for most cases.

You can use standard current limit( 0.1uF BP cap)to keep same transformer,same efficiency and thermal, same snubber and same output capacitor. But you have to pay more attention for the line sense resistor ( Resistor between DC input EN/UV pin, which is used for Line input under voltage lockout function) and the output OVP function for TNY278G. If line sense resistor are adjusted based on datasheets and the OVP function is double checked, I believe you can use TNY278G to replace tny268G.

Thanks. The TNY278 cannot be used on the same PCB (different pinouts.) What is the lifetime status of the TNY268GN? Is there a plan to obsolete this part?
