57 - 265 Volt input range desing
Hi ,
I want to design 4 Volt output SMPS, but input range is 57-265 Volt. Is there any solution in PI products? I use PI Expert, but when I choose this specs, PI Expert give an error.

Hi,
I want that output is 4V,2.25A (9W) or if it is possible that 4V , 1,5A continuous and 2,25 A peak output.
And My second question ı want to use NTC for inrush current protection, is it necessary ? İs there inrush protection in PI ?
Thanks,
NTC is needed especially high current power designs and it is needed for protect input rectifier diode due to inrush current... due to the transformers empedance there wouldn't be large inrush current on the PI device, you can test it...
For design try to design with PIXI, and Look DI152 , in this design there is an external current supply for the PI device to run in low voltage, may be this will you a idea
Thanks for previous replies,
Now I am uncertian about which product is proper for my design. TNY276 or TNY376. I want to change TNY376 so tinyswitch - pk family because datasheets says via this design decrease to core size of transformer. But ı don't how select transformer, For example if I use tny276 i place EE19 type of transformer but if ı use tny376, ı can't decide which transformer proper?
If you need isolation from the line, you can use Tiny III family devices. Tiny peak will help you to save some space used by the componenets. If space available is not an issue, I recoment use Tiny III device. For your power level you do not neet an TNC.

what is your output power level? do you need isolation from the line?
