power supply for IGBS driver

Posted by: wxzhuhua on

Hi, all,

I am trying to build a power supply for an IGBS driver, which need to be as below:

1. 5V as input voltage(for the IGBS driver), which have input GND.
2. 18V and -5V as output voltage(for the IGBS driver), which have output GND.

So here is my question, is it possible to build such a power supply with a single PI chip?

BTW: i can't input -5V when trying to use PIExpert, why?

No any recommendation?

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

We do not make any parts that can operate from voltages below 16V. You may be able to find parts from other manufacturers that can better suit your application.

The input is AC, 85~265V.

the 5V i mentioned is a voltage that IGBT driver need, which is called input voltage since it's power supply for the input part of driver.

I need to add a 3.3V now, so i need 4 voltages with 2 GNDs:
input side of driver: 3.3V, 5V, they have GND1
output side of driver: 18V, -5V, they have GND2

And the total power is small, 2~3W is enough, the 2 sides all need to have good isolation from AC and each other, i think off-line flyback is a good chioce, is it right? please tell me your recommendations on chip selection and any other considerations.

the problems i'm facing is:
1. PIExpert does not support the input of negative voltage.
2. PIXls only have 3 position for output voltages.

Please help, Thanks.
