PI Expert 8 input voltage error, 30.00V interpreted as 3000.00.

Posted by: iggy on

Hello.

Just downloaded PI Expert 8 and found out that I can't use it. When I enter 30.00V for Vout, it interprets the value as 3000V. I am using Vista 64bit.

I am unable to circumvent the problem right now. Help?

EDIT: exact error says
Selection: Input parameter 'VO1' is equal to 3000.00.
Solution: Input is greater than the maximum limit of 100.00.

Hi,

Just type "30" in. PI Expert may not be interpreting the placement of your decimal correctly along with the trailing zeros you have entered.

Tried it, no dice. The SW always assumes decimal places. I am thinking decimal separator.

Interesting, let me talk to our software guys about this and see if we can reproduce it on a Vista 64 setup. I may request additional information from you. Would you be willing to give me that so we may better help you and improve our software?
