Full load efficiency of High-Voltage Input Switching Power Supply using StackFET

Posted by: reh223 on

DEAR SIR/MADAM,

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO CALCULATE FULL LOAD EFFICIENCY of High-Voltage Input Switching Power Supply using StackFET ??. I AM REFERRING TO THE SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM AS SHOWN IN THE LINK BELOW

Hi,

Efficiency calculation for the StackFET power supply is no different as compared to any other power supply.

You would need to calculate the losses in the individual circuit parts and compute the total loss to determine expected efficiency.

If you would like an estimate, I suggest you review the engineering report for a similar design for which I have provided a link below:

Low power switchig power supplies tend to have slightly lower efficiency and efficiency with the StackFET can be slightly lower as compared to the non-StackFET designs due to higher loss in the switching elements.

What if I find the 3 phase input AC power and the output DC power. Then divide output DC power by input AC power to find efficiency ???
