DPASwitch proofed voltage

Posted by: Thomas Streubel on

I get a new requirement to the TOPSwitch, that i need an Switch with proofed voltage higher ore equal than 100V. Is this obtained by the DPA family(for example at the TOP423/424)? For what voltages are the DPA switches proofed?

Best regards Thomas

Hello

The basic problem is the following: We have an power supply in one of our products that includes an TOP414G. I received an product discontinuation notice in whitch this part is going out of production in the next month/year. In this moment i search for an replacement to this switch.

The supply voltage of the device is between 30 and 70 V, and i need an proofed voltage of 100V. I have seen that i can use the switches from your DPA family for my voltage range. But i can not find the information about the proofed voltage of the switches(TOP423/424) in the datasheet.

Are the switches TOP423/424 proofed for an voltage equal ore higher than 100V?

Best regards

As far proof voltages go, I think you're actually asking about the MOSFET breakdown voltage (Bvdss on most our datasheets).

TOP414G has a Bvdss of 350V.
The DPA Switch family has a Bvdss of 220V.

These are both well over your requirement of 100V.

As far as a drop-in replacement of TOP414G, I don't think we have anything that will be a direct replacement. Our DPA Switch family would be a good starting place to look though. I'd reccomend downloading and installing our PI Expert software. You can enter your input and output specifications and it can make reccomendations for you on what product family you should look into.
