Wide range power-supply

Posted by: Warriors on

Dear PI engineers,
I'm working on a switching power supply stage containing a TOP234G switcher (you can see the circuit in attached image). This circuit must work in the input range [24V - 240 V AC/DC] and my current problem is to increase the output power which now is about 2,6W. Can you suggest me which component I can modify to reach my goal without change the TOP234G? Thanks in advance for your support.

I don't think TOP234G can provide your required output power due to too low minimum input voltage.

With 24V AC/DC input, the required duty cycle is over maximum 70% duty limit of a TOPSwitch.

The lower input voltage is too low. It is not warranted the supply will run and it is not possible to meet your output power at such low voltage

So how can I calculate the maximum output power at the lower voltage (24V)?
