design SMPS
I need to design SMPS with the following features using TNY255:
Input: 220VAC - 50Hz
Output: 12VDC - 5A
is it possible with TNY255? If yes, Please could you help me about this issue?

Can u suggest me any part no of your product. so that i can use in my product.
you could use TOPSwitch-HX or TOPSwitch-GX family devices in flyback topology.(refers to datasheet to select the best one)
you have to use PI expert, it's really so useful to design your board.

I have a model with input 90-300 vac and output 24v, 5A
it's attached.
In order to convert this design into StackFET so it can handle much higher input voltages, read this:

This is way too much power for the TNYSwitch.
Pls. refer to the power table in the datasheet.
The recommended part family is the TOPSwitch-JX. Pls. go to the JX page.
Then download the PI-Expert Suite for design tools.
