PFC and Half bridge driver in one chip

Posted by: treez on

Hello,...i saw a powerint design involving a one-chip PFC and half brdieg driver....this looks very good......please could you tell of the modulator transfer function for the PFC and half bridge stages.....and also give a transfer function for an opto/TL431 type feedback.

....I wish to implement this design but need the transfer functions first so that i can design for adequate phase and gain margins....basically, i need to work out the total loop gain and phase so i know if its ok to close the loop.

Please tell us the design number or name. Thank you PI-Worf

hello, i am referring to the HiperPLC datasheet............. http://www.powerint.com/sites/default/files/product-docs/hiper_family_datasheet.pdf ..........................

There is nowhere in the datasheet that it tells how the loop can be closed to get stability........Do you have the transfer functions of the modulator for the half-bridge and the transfer function for a TL431/OPTO circuit so that i can do the loop compensation?

Hi there, we are in the last stages of creating the application note which contains all this information. Scheduled completion is march 12th. If you would bear with us until then - I want to make sure everything is correct before releasing.

Cheers

Thankyou for your posts. I am grateful for your efforts. I dont think there is a design note for this HiperPLC chip yet...there appears to be a demo board...but the pdf that goes with it is only two pages long........but i am grateful you are working on it. By the way, the circuit in the datasheet , i didnt notice a primary current sense resistor in the LLC resonant stage.....i was wondering about this?
