di/dt limit for LNK623

Posted by: krau on

I want to use the LNK623 for a 150 to 450V input, 4.5V 1W output supply. When I enter this I get a warning about too low of primary inductance, too high di/dt. What is the maximum di/dt that can be used for this part? Thanks.

Hi,

Is your input specification 150VAC to 450VAC? or 150VDC to 450VDC?

150 to 450VDC

Hi,

For a reduced power level, the spreadsheet will calculate a smaller value of required inductance. Once the inductance value drops below a certain limit ( or the di/dt is higher than a certain limit) the spreadsheet will issue a warning.

The best option will be to design for a slightly higher power level and drop the value of VOR.
