TOP414G Reliability Figures

Posted by: snehalt on
We're currently trying to calculate product reliability and would appreciate any information you can provide us with relating to the reliability of TOP414G or methods/documents/etc we could use to calculate the reliability of TOP414G. We'd like to know things like mean time before failure, product life times, failure rates, etc. Are there any PI documents relating to reliability? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Based on a combination of the above HTRB and DOPL data the failure rate for the 350V TOPSwitch family of products is 3.798 FITs (MTBF = 263,273,000 hours). This failure rate was estimated by derating the high temperature reliability test data to an application use junction temperature of 55oC using an activation energy of 0.7eV and was calculated with a 60% confidence level.

I have the similar issue about the IC TOP224P. Could you send me some information about the MTBF of this component?

Thanks!

Based on life test data collected by Power Integrations, the failure rate for the TOP224P is 0.894 FITs (MTBF = 1,118,024,000 hours). This failure rate was estimated by de-rating the high temperature reliability test data to an application use junction temperature of 55oC using an activation energy of 0.7eV and was calculated with a 60% confidence level.
