DC to DC Flyback converter 12V to +/-175V (300W)
Hi All
I am currently trying to simulate/design a fly back converter that takes in 12V and outputs +175V and -175V @300W I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for an IC from power integrations that could handle the control of switching or direct me where I could go? I also wondered does power integrations provide Spice models for their products?

a push pull converter would be better suited ...
ok a push pull would work as well do you have any ICs that could carry out the control with a push pull or any power topology to be honest that would provide: 12V input and outputs +175V and -175V @300W
Yes the UC3856 control IC is suited, 300W is pretty trivial if the layout de-coupling and snubbing are well considered.
Centre tapped o/p on the Tx with 4 diode bridge will give you a balanced +/-175V - or you can have two o/p windings and two bridges...
You have ~ 30A DC on the input so good de-coupling and layout are vital, want at least 100A fets at 50V

Is this a half bridge or full bridge converter with this IC?
This IC has outputs suitable for push-pull topology, esp with current mode control
for low voltage high current you could explore H bridge too ( lower turn off losses as clamped by Vin) - however you will need gate drive transformers or level shifters to switch the upper devices.

Sorry for that. Power Integrations is more specialized on high input voltage applications. It's unfortunate that we don't have product for your application.

Thank you for your interest on Power Integrations' product.
Unfortunately we don't have product to cater your requirement. The closest we have is DPA Switch but input range is 16V minimum and output power for flyback is only around 50W maximum. We also don't have spice models, for design support we have PIExpert tool available online for our products. Thank you.
