HiperPFS-5 to boost DC voltages

Dear PI Team,

We have been using the TOP249 for more than 20 years. Its main advantage was the ability to operate down to below 18 V, which perfectly suited our application requiring an input voltage range of 18–36 V DC or 90–230 V AC.

Since we’ve been very satisfied with the TOPSwitch family, we would like to continue using your products in future designs. However, as there no longer seems to be a true low-voltage device available from PI, I was wondering if it would be possible to use a HiperPFS-5 in combination with, for example, a HiperLCS-2 or an InnoSwitch3 to boost the input voltage when it is too low for those ICs to operate properly.
