Hi All,

Please let us know which PI LED Driver chip is better for 9 Watt to 20 Watt for constant current and pwm dimming with input voltage 85VAC to 305VAC.

LinkSwitch-PH fits the bill for a wide-range input, 9W to 20W constant current and PWM dimming.

HI Crumb,
Thank for your support.

Could you send me any reference design or schematic for reference?

Regards,
Alpesh

I can't find an actual DER that has PWM in the database. However, I attached an implementation guide for PWM dimming. You can use PIExpert or PIXLS Designer to design for 20W output and you can generate schematic from there.

Hi Crumb,

Thank for your support.

we will start implementation base on your guideline.

thanks again.

Hi Crumb,

We have study about DER for LinkSwitch-PH and as per PI specification only support 85VAC to 265VAC.

But I want to design up to 305VAC input range with dimming constant current LED drive.

please let us know which change required in LinkSwitch-PH base design.

Thanks.

Alpesh

The part can work up to 305VAC without changing the base design. DER-286 can operate up to 308 VAC. Please be aware that line regulation may suffer a bit for extended input range. In case you need to re-shape line regulation or increase the line OV point for further margin, please adjust the upper Vpin resistor RV1 and lower Vpin resistor RV2. Please use PIXLS Designer to fine tune these values.

Hi Crumb,

Thanks you support.

We will study as per your guideline and give feedback to you.

thanks.

Alpesh

Hi Crumb,

Also we need to design T8/T10 tube light driver.

Please let us know which PI LED Driver chip is better for 3 Watt to 22 Watt for non isolated constant current and pwm dimming with input voltage 85VAC to 305VAC with fulfill mechanical to tube.

Thanks,

Alpesh

Hi Alpesh,

The most suitable PI LED driver is still LinkSwitch-PH as it can also operate in non-isolated mode (buck/buck-boost or non-iso flyback). However, I am not sure if it can meet power down to 3W and it has to be verified. If possible, please communicate your requirements to your local PI FAEs so that they can help with your design.
