IGBT-driver manufacturer CT-Concept Technologie AG, a Power Integrations company, has launched three new IGBT-driver core products. Concept's new IGBT drivers are based on the company's proprietary SCALE-2 ASIC technology, which incorporates all required functions: driving, monitoring, status acknowledgement, isolated voltage supply (DC/DC converters) and isolation of all signals between the control and power sections. This saves space, improves reliability, increases performance and reduces design time.
New products include:
Dual-channel 2SC0106T drivers simplify the design process and provide a cost-effective, high-performance alternative to competing designs based on discrete components and optocouplers. The 2SC0106T drives 600 V to 1200 V IGBTs with collector currents up to 450 A, switching at frequencies of up to 20 kHz.
The 2SC0635T is the first commercially-available dual-channel IGBT gate driver core for 4.5 kV IGBT with electrical interface and integrated DC/DC converter. The 2SC0635T features transformer-based signal isolation - rather than more expensive fibre-optic technology - and an on-board power supply.
The 1SC0450V is a compact and robust single-channel gate-drive solution for 6.5 kV IGBT modules. Featuring an on-board power supply, the drivers have a gate current of ±50 A and operate from a +15 V/-10 V supply. Power capability is 4 W at 85°C. Devices can be configured for parallel operation of IGBT modules using one central driver.
CT-Concept Technologie AG is the leading supplier of IGBT drivers for mid- to high-power applications, such as industrial drives, renewable energy, traction and automotive equipment. To learn more about these and other Concept products, visit the Concept website.
