Power supply with variable output voltage?

Posted by: Sheldoniq on

Is any of your IC can be realized Power supply with parameters

Input voltage:    230V AC (may be 120 - 240 Volts)Output voltage: 5 - 40 Volts
Outpu power:   100 W

Actual we have toroid transformer with secundar output voltage 40V and step-down converer .

So great range of output voltage is probably unattainable, but maybe they could use two secondary windings and 5-20 and 20-40.
In short, I would be interested in the possibility of TOPSwitch needed in variable output voltage.

if I understand your system right, you can desing TOP switch works with 120-240Vac and a output of saying ~45V, or two seperate outputs as you prefer, and then using DCDC stage to step down. May I ask what is your application? DO you need PFC or not for your case?
