5V/4A boost converter, the switch valley current is 4A, does it mean the output current?

Hi ROSELJR. To answer your question, if you mean by the switch valley current is the inductor current of your boost converter, it should be higher than your average output current. The inductor current is closely similar to the input current. Since boost converters works to step up the output voltage, a trade off will be seen on its output current, making it significantly smaller. The output power could not exceed the input power on any system.
