2SC0106T Select resistance value

Posted by: softactive on

To whom it may concern,

We develop AC-DC power supplies.
We are testing by applying your gate driver.
The product specifications are as follows.
INPUT : 400VAC
Topology: Full Bridge
IGBT : FF200R12KT4
IGBT RMS CURRENT : 100A

You are setting up Desaturation functionality and to achieve Ref. voltage 9.3V.
I would like to know if there is no problem with adjusting the 330 ohm resistance.
Desaturation function works normally when setting 22k.

Circuit setting.
Rax : 24kΩ // Cax : 150pF  // 330R -> 22kΩ //D1x, D2x : 1N4007

Thank you.

Kind Regards,
Kim

Dear Kim

the idea of using 330R here, is to keep the Vcax voltage as close as possible to the Vce.sat. this can avoid false triggering of short circuit projection as much as possible.

by increase the value of  33oR , you are actually increasing the voltage of Vcax, then you need to carefully check the false triggering, especially high current/temperature working conditions.

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for your confirmation.

330R was thought to be a fixed resistance.
We will adjust and test it according to the circuit.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,
Kim
