EFD15/8/5 Flyback at highest power ?

Hi,

We wish to use a power integrations controller to get the max power that we can get out of a EFD15/8/5 flyback

100-265vac

24vout

isolated to 3000VAC

Open frame

There is reasonable amount of blown air....ambient temp around transformer will be 45degc max.

Do you know what is the max power we can get?, and what Power.com controller should we use.?

The maximum power out of a particular core is subject of many design constrains and compromises.

Most likely the smallest InnoSwitch3-CE controller will do the job.

Thanks, but i still find PI expert and PIXIS designer dont like you changing stuff, like the transformer...even if its possible, they wont work it out.

I can do it myself..but boss wants to see PI Expert solution.

The reason why PIXls cannot provide a solution within the restrictions is because it is very unlikely such a design to fly in a mass production.

I would suggest seeing our local representative for detailed discussion of the requirements. Our FAE's have a lot of experience with finding solutions for tough design requirements.
