how to design output current using lnk304

Posted by: minikhh on

hi i'm using lnk304 and make output voltage 5V

thank to application note an-37 and 1.44W, 12V, 120mAbuck converter reference circuit in linkswitch-tn family datasheet,

i understand designing voltage which i want.

but I'm not sure how i desing output current like 5V  50mA, 5V 100mA, 5V 150mA

May I get some know-how design output current?

With a buck converter, the sum of output current plus the current ripple on the inductor must be less the the self-protection current limit of the Linkswitch device in question.  If you use the design software for the Linkswitch-TN, you will be guided to a device that is appropriate for your desired output current. The software can be downloaded at power.com or used online.

Hi minikhh,

You can use this PI online tool in designing your project.

Thanks, Jedidiah - that's a little more explicit...
