Hiper3 ON switch
I'm wondering if any of the inputs on the Hiper3 can be effectively used as a switch enabling power to flow.
maybe the 'power good' pin?
at present, I have a large MOSFET downstream that will control the flow of current.
thanks, CF

the MOSFET is connected to the HVDC between the Hiper 3 and the transformer it feeds. There is a 270uF electrolytic connected to this segment as well, so maybe the inrush would break the Hiper?
I'll probably just keep the FET as the on-off control. Seems like the safest and easiest, even though it's a few extra $$.
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any more helpful ideas or suggestions.
Hi CF,
The Hiper 3 is current sense protected so it is safe from high current saturation so you won't break Hiper PFS 3. Thank you.

Hi CF,
You can use the power good but it is being controlled by the bus regulation set on the PGT resistor pin. The PG pin is also an open collector output so you need to put pull up or another transistor driving your MOSFET. Is this MOSFET controls your DC-DC stage or it directly connected to output?
