what element in this circuit is important for output current?

hi
i have this circuit that it is in attacment
i use ss34 for output diod
ee13 as transformer
and one 4.7uF and one 1mH filter for input cause i dont have a lot of space
i use MB10F Bridge for full bridge rectifire
i use el817s for optocopler
please open the attachment and tell me why its giving me just 200 mA and not anymore of that?
what element in this circuit is important for output current?
what u suggest to do to make it work?i need at least 500mA

Hi Navidrct,

Thank you for your inquiry. I don't have viewer of that type of file. Can you send me a PDF file of your circuit? Also, please send me the PIEXpert or PIXls that you may have used to generate the circuit and calculated the transformer design.

Hi,

I made a PIExpert design but it is giving a different schematic. See the attached schematic. Can you give me your design requirements and send me the PIExpert file please?

Do the following:
1) As a quick check, at 265Vac power-up at no load, if it powers up at 0A load and the output is a regulated 5V, then load 1A.
2) Increase the input cap to 2x the current value say 2x 2.2uF. Do item (1) but power up at 195vac.

Depending on the above results, either increasing the input capacitance or keeping it, what you can do next is to trim R5 until the output can load 1A full load.

Alvin
