Looking for replacement of TOP223P in non isolated buck converter

Posted by: d.schouten on

Hi all,

For some years we are using the TOP223P in a non isolated DC-DC buck converter design. The output power is only 3 - 5W, the input voltage range is 30 - 200Vdc and the output voltage is tuned to around 20Vdc. This design is based on PI's first Design Idea (DI-1, as attached to this message).

The TOP223P currently has a NRND status, so we are considering to redesign the board a little bit and implement a newer PI part. My question is, which newer PI part(s) are the best replacements in this application?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Dan

Hi Kryten,

Thanks for sharing an alternative for the TOP223P.
Do you think the JX series can also be used in a non isolated buck dc-dc configuration, similar the earlier attached design note?

Thanks in advance!
